1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to FinSimpler ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website at finsimpler.com (the "Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Website.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Website. No user account or registration is required to use our services — by simply accessing and using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and FinSimpler. Please read them carefully.

2. Description of Services

FinSimpler provides free, browser-based financial calculator tools, including but not limited to: mortgage calculators, auto loan calculators, personal loan calculators, savings calculators, retirement calculators, and 401(k) calculators (collectively, the "Services").

All calculations are performed locally in your web browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit any financial data or calculation inputs you enter into our calculators to our servers. Your data stays on your device.

The Services are provided free of charge and are supported by third-party advertising, including advertisements served through Google AdSense.

  • Your personal financial circumstances, creditworthiness, or tax situation
  • Rounding, formula limitations, or simplifying assumptions in the calculations
  • State and local tax variations

We strongly recommend that you consult with a qualified financial professional, tax advisor, or legal counsel before making any financial decisions. You should not rely solely on the results from our calculators when making financial commitments.

FinSimpler is not responsible for any decisions, actions, or consequences resulting from the use of our calculators or any information provided on this Website.

4. Accuracy of Calculations

While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date calculators, FinSimpler makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any calculations, data, or information provided on the Website.

Calculator results may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions due to rounding, formula limitations, changes in applicable laws or regulations, interest rate fluctuations, or other factors beyond our control.

Users are solely responsible for independently verifying all calculation results before making any financial decisions. You acknowledge that actual financial outcomes may differ materially from the estimates provided by our calculators.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE WEBSITE AND ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

14. International Users

The Website is operated from the United States. If you access the Website from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.

EU/EEA/UK Users: If you are located in the European Union, European Economic Area, or United Kingdom, certain provisions of the GDPR and local consumer protection laws apply to your use of the Website. Your privacy rights are detailed in our Privacy Policy. EU consumer protection laws may afford you additional protections that cannot be waived by these Terms.

California Users: If you are a resident of California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Where local law provides mandatory consumer protections, those protections shall apply regardless of the terms stated herein.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms or the Website shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in the State of Delaware. You waive any and all objections to the exercise of jurisdiction over you by such courts and to venue in such courts.

EU Users: If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the EU member state in which you are domiciled, in accordance with applicable EU consumer protection laws.

16. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us through our Contact Us page. We will attempt to resolve the dispute informally within 60 days.

Binding Arbitration: If the dispute is not resolved informally, you and FinSimpler agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Website shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in the State of Delaware or, at your election, may be conducted remotely.

Class Action Waiver: YOU AND FINSIMPLER AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Small Claims Exception: Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes within the court's jurisdictional limits.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of the arbitration and class action waiver provisions by sending written notice through our Contact Us page within 30 days of first accessing the Website.
